Aaltoes (Aalto Entrepreneurship Society) from Finland visited the Seoul National University Campus Town Project Center on the 25th May. The event, held at the start-up HERE-RO3, was attended by 11 student delegates from Aaltoes, SNU Campus Town Project team, and two tenant companies(APGREEN, NUSEUM).
Through this event, Aaltoes and Campus center shared the start-up supporting systems of the two organization and shared insights on cooperation for the development of the global start-up ecosystem. Furthermore, the two tenant companies of the business group obtained information for global expansion and had a networking opportunity.
Aaltoes is a student-led entrepreneurship community founded in 2009, located on Aalto University campus. It is a non-profit organization that empowers the brightest students in Finland towards high-growth entrepreneurship. Aaltoes is a part of "Startup Sauna" which is an entity that brings together Finnish startup ecosystem players, such as accelerator Kiuas and hackathon Junction. The global startup conference "SLUSH" also gained its momentum from Startup Sauna, where students embrace a culture of dreaming big and not being afraid of failure.
Through this event, "It was an opportunity to promote the start-up ecosystem of Seoul Metropolitan Government and Campus Town project", said Kim Tae-wan, head of the Campus Town Project center.
Meri Heikkinen, vice president of Aaltoes, finds it incredibly educational to explore the startup ecosystem of Seoul, meet with Korean startup founders and embrace international collaboration during the Finnish delegation's visit.”
